Neighbourhood Partnerships

As a community we are moved to do all we can to reach deeply in the heart of our city to provide practical help and the voice of Christ in the areas of deepest need. Here are just some of the areas we are able to reach, which you could be involved in.

 

DOUGLAS PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Helping to raise funds, working with the students and the reading program, and helping to determine the steps to provide a better experience for the children who attend this inner-city school.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Breakfast - volunteers needed from 7:30 to 8:45 am Monday to Friday. Help cook a breakfast for 20-30 Students. Please contact Penny at highames@shaw.ca or katie@lefc.ca

 

HARVEST BOX

Providing a space and volunteers to pack fresh produce into hampers to ensure their families get fresh food at a low cost. In partnership with Langley Family Services. Help prepare boxes of vegetables. Date: March 26, April 30, May, 28, 9:30 to 11:30 am in our Gym.  Contact Katie  katie@lefc.ca

LANGLEY FAMILY SERVICES

We’ve developed a strong partnership with Langley Family Services and are pleased to provide space for ESL classes, parenting programs, training for staff and more.
