Leadership

DARREN YOUNG
> Lead Pastor
Darren has been leading LEFC in experiencing Jesus Bigger in our lives, in our community and in our neighbourhoods since January 2007. He is a red head married to a red head (Wendy) with red headed children (Taylor and Matthew). He spends a lot of time coaching his boys in soccer and in the finer points of 1980s NBA teams. Darren has boxes of Michael Jordan memorabilia in his garage and can hardly wait for the day when those basketball cards are worth something.

JANICE MILLER
> Worship Arts Director
Janice gives leadership to our Sunday morning worship experience as well as communications and branding at LEFC. She passionate about communicating the scandalous beauty of the gospel in whatever medium it takes to connect with people's hearts. Janice has seen Neil Diamond in concert twice, and nothing cheers her up more than cranking up Sweet Caroline (except maybe a nice vanilla latté.)

KATIE
SPLINTER > Ministry Hub Coordinator
Katie grew up at LEFC and is passionate about seeing Jesus Bigger in every aspect of church life. She helps give leadership to our clusters as well as a working on series of specials projects. Katie is almost always training for a marathon, but in her spare time she's decided to take up long boarding. You should not underestimate Katie's love for sour cream, or for accountants (she's married to one, Matt.)

MIKE LEWIS> Youth Pastor
Mike's passion is to elevate youth to a higher calling with God and equip them to follow him. He has a lovely young wife (Amy) and four kids ages 15 through 9 (Riley, Cheyenne, Dakota & Conner.) Mike's a huge fan of Volkwagen vans, has a impressive shoe collection, and shaves his head two to three times a week. If you're wondering how Mike is doing today, he's "Awesome!"

ELISHA NEUFELD> Children and Families Ministry Director
Elisha is passionate about helping kids connect with God in creative and life-changing ways. She trained as a teacher and is a proud TWU grad. She's never afraid to try new things, whether it's food from the Richmond Night Market, or surfing in Oregon. Generally she doesn't like to be referred to as Delicious.

AMY SCHOOTEN> Office Administrator
Amy loves to help people, and whether it's getting the photocopier fixed, putting the Next Step Café together, or taking Alpha registrations she's always busy serving the people of LEFC. Amy and her husband Gerritt are originally from Alberta and have a freezer full of beef to prove it. If you need a Halloween costume, prom dress or help getting your super hero clothes to fit, Amy's the seamstress who can help you out!
